Apostille Services

What is an Apostille?

An Apostille is a special certification for documents intended for international use. It verifies the authenticity of your notarized document. North Carolina will issue an Apostille of a notarized signature on a document and lists the specific country in which the document will be used. 


Apostilles can be obtained for public and private documents, including corporate filings, diplomas, degrees, and job applications, marital and adoption documents, and deeds and contracts. 

What types of documents can DICN Apostille?

We process birth certificates, marriage certificates, legal contracts, and business documents. 

What is required by the customer?

If you need Apostille services, you as the customer, are required to have the following:


  • Valid ID (Driver's License, Passport) Must be current, no photocopies!
  • Document(s) that need the Apostille Must be the original, no photocopies!  
  • Translation of documents, required! 

What will Dove InnerCity Notary do?

WE take all the worry out of getting your Apostille.  You provide us the document(s) and we will do the rest!

What's our fee?

The service fee for ordering and processing your Apostille is $200 & up per Apostille. International shipping is not included, and prices are subject to change based on services requested.  


What is covered and included?


  • Service fee is per apostille - no exceptions! [Each Apostille request is separate and could require different processing]
  • Processing fee - Included
  • Secretary of State required documentation fee - Included


Additional services [required or if needed]: 


  • IF documents require notarization first, Notary fee is $10.00 per principal signature. (if needed)
  • Domestic shipping fee(s) (required)
  • Federal Document(s) handling (additional fees, as applicable)
  • International shipping fee(s) (additional fees, as applicable)


Processing time(s): DICN estimates 7-14 business days**


**Please note: [Requesting Apostille from larger cities may exceed DICN mandated processing times and could take up to or exceed 30 business days. Once request is sent off for processing, we are dependent on the state's processing times not ours!]

Payment for services

If you want to start the Apostille process, 50% of the fee is due up front and the remaining balance is due when the Apostille is returned.  


PLEASE NOTE: Once process has started there are NO REFUNDS.

Which countries accept Apostille documents? 


For a list of the countries that accept apostilles, please visit the Status Table provided by the Hague Conference on Private International Law.


Can an Apostille be rejected?


Yes, the Secretary of State (SOS) has the authority to reject any documentation received for any reason. If a document is rejected, we will work with the SOS to determine the cause. Unfortunately, DICN has no control over SOS decision.

General notarization charge is $10.00 per principal signature notarized. Loan signing fee(s) on Real Estate transactions are different.  Travel fees are assessed (on all appointments) at 70¢ per mile. (round-trip)
